Payment and Insurance Information

Services rendered by a psychologist are not covered by OHIP. However, fees are partly repaid by extended health care insurance depending on your policy agreement. Please call your insurance company to know exactly how much money will be reimbursed for your neuropsychological assessment and/or therapy.

The part that is not reimbursed by your insurance company can be claimed as a medical expense and deducted from your income tax.

Fees for psychological services are in accordance with the guidelines put forth by the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA).

Fees are due at the end of each session.  Payments can be made in cash, Debit (Interac), Visa or Master card. You will receive a receipt at the time of payment. The invoice will describe the different services received (for example, interview, testing and scoring, report, feedback session.)

HST is charged for most neuropsychological evaluations.

A fee will be applied if an appointment is missed or cancelled unless we receive a call or an email by you 24 hours prior. Your Insurance company will not reimburse cancelled appointments.

You will need a reference from your family physician or a medical specialist to be reimbursed for psychological services (neuropsychological assessments and/or therapy.) To obtain maximum coverage if several family members are assessed, the doctor should indicate that the family requires a psychological assessment and/or treatment.
